When I was in B.Tech 3 rd year I started using Linux. At that time I read so many articles on free software, open source software, copy rights of a software, linux and worked linux distributions. Meanwhile a read about Linus Torvalds, Richard Stallman about the concept "Why Free?". Some times unexpected situations come with expected efforts. That became true. Now in IIT Guwahati Techniche 2010 I met legendary software developer and GNU free software founder Mr. Richard Stallman. Thanks to IIT Guwahati to give this wonderful opportunity and inspiration.
For a question he answered " I don't like the word free. I like freedom. That is what I am doing" Yes! It is true. Freedom for thoughts, freedom for life, and freedom for software.
He given autograph on a small paper by writing
"Happy hacking - Richard Stallman"
In the same lecture he given Badges and stickers. I purchased a Badge for 100 Rs from Richard. He sold me with his own hands. Have a look..I kept it on my lap and snapped. You can see a sticker on my lap "GNU/Linux" inside.
Here are logos and stickers
Those are sticked to my hostel room wall...
